Police Report: October 9

2500 block of Queens Chapel Road: At about 12:25 am officers observed a vehicle stopped in the roadway obstructing traffic. A check of the driver led the officers to believe he was under the influence of alcohol. He submitted to several standard field sobriety tests and failed all of them. He was arrested for DUI, but refused to submit to a breathalyzer exam. He was charged with several traffic offenses in addition to the DUI and his vehicle was impounded.

4700 block of 31st Place: At about 3:45 pm MRPD’s parking enforcement officer observed a blue 1997 Buick Century displaying expired DC tags CJ7417. A check of motor vehicle records showed that the tag did not belong to the vehicle on which it was displayed. The PEO cited the vehicle for the violation and impounded it.
