Police Report: June 25

3800 block of 30th Street: At about 5:20 pm officers responded for a father/son domestic dispute. Their investigation revealed that the son had earlier told his father that he had been accepted into college and apparently did not get the response he wanted. The son became violent and because of similar past behavior the father tried to leave the house until the son calmed down. As the father tried to drive away the son jumped onto the hood of his car and smashed in the windshield. The son was arrested and charged with domestic assault and destruction of property and delivered to the custody of DOC in Hyattsville.
