The National Weather Service has issued as Hazardous Weather Outlook for the area and a Flash Flood Watch is in effect through Saturday afternoon. The Mount Rainier Department of Public Works has been preparing for the storm. The State of Maryland is monitoring the conditions with the national Weather Service and we do not currently anticipate initiating emergency operations.
