Police Report: April 13-14

April 13th:

Other than a mutual aid incident that occurred at 5:30 am and previously reported there was nothing significant to report.

April 14th (early morning):

4500 block of Eastern Avenue (BP station): Warrant/narcotics arrest – 12:10 am. Officers conducting a premises check of the BP station observed a 2003 Chevy Tahoe at the gas pump for an extended period of time. An MVA check of the vehicle’s registration revealed that the registered owner had an open warrant out of Prince George’s County for failing to appear in court on a charge of driving while suspended. The officers identified the driver as the registered owner and arrested him on the open warrant. A search of his person incident to the arrest revealed that he was in possession of marijuana and crack cocaine. He was charged with the narcotics crimes and delivered to the custody of DOC in Hyattsville.

Persons who receive a collection notice and have concerns that it was issued in error should call the police department during regular business hours and our staff will research the citation. All payments are to be made either to the collection agency directly or at City Hall. The police department does not acce...
