Assistance Needed in Identifying a Man Struck by a MARC Train in Cottage City

The Prince George’s County Police Homicide Section is currently investigating the death of an unidentified man who was struck and killed by a MARC Train adjacent to the 3700 block of Cottage Terrace in Cottage City on November 4, 2009 at about 7:55 p.m.

The decedent is described as a white male, 50-60 years old with grey hair wearing a brown coat, white thermal shirt, blue jeans, and black “DC” brand tennis shoes.

Anyone with information as to the identity of the decedent should contact the PGPD Homicide Section at (301) 772-4925.

Community Shredding Day

Please mark you calendars for Saturday July 18th, 2009 for community shredding day. Priority One Shredding of Bowie, Maryland will provide free personal shredding services and secure document destruction from 8 am until 11am at the Bunker Hill Fire Station. Citizen Armed Robbery Update - ARREST MADE

On July 7 th MRPD officers took a report of a citizen armed robbery that took place in the 2700 block of Allison Street at about 3:30am. A follow-up investigation by PDPD District I Robbery Suppression Team detectives identified a suspect who was positively identified by the victim. The suspect was charged with the crime of robbery and delivered to the custody of DOC in Hyattsville.
