When the officers stopped to intervene the group disbursed. One of the participants was found lying on the ground unconscious. July 9 th : One Municipal Place : Criminal citation – 10:40am. Officers issued a man a criminal citation for drinking in public. 3000 block of Buchanan Street : Destruction of property – 12:05pm. The victim told officers that she and her baby’s father had several people over to their apartment last night. Some of their guests got drunk and out of hand. At about 1am someone broke two windows from the inside of her apartment, one in the living room area and one in the bedroom. She could not advise who did it. 3300 block of Rhode Island Avenue :...

July 2 nd : 3400 block of Eastern Avenue : Warrant service – 2:55am. Officers responded for the report of an unwanted guest. Officers found the man in question in the backyard trying to hide in a shed. Further investigation revealed that he had an open arrest warrant through Montgomery County for failure to appear in court. He was arrested on the warrant and delivered to the custody of DOC in Hyattsville. 4300 block of 31 st Street : Vandalism to auto – 7:45am. It is illegal for any person to manufacture, possess, store, offer for sale, sell, discharge, use, burn, or explode any fireworks in Prince George's County, Maryland, except that an authorized display may be conducted by a licensed pyrotechnic professional. Penalties for violations of the law include a fine of up to $1,000 and/or six months in jail. Sparklers are considered fireworks and burning them could cost you $250 for each one! June 25 th : 31 st and Upshur Streets : Traffic – 1:55am. Officers stopped a 2003 Mercedes for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed that the tags affixed to the vehicle belonged to another vehicle and the vehicle itself was unregistered. The driver was issued several traffic citations and the vehicle was impounded. 3100 block of Perry Street : Attempt burglary – 3:15am. Officers responded for the report of a burglary in progress. The owner of a 2004 Toyota told officers that he parked his vehicle around midnight and when he returned he discovered it had been stolen. He said there was nothing of value in the vehicle. Communications had no record of the vehicle being impounded or repossessed. 3400 block of Rhode Island Avenue : Criminal citation – 9:45am.
