3100 block of Queens Chapel Road: At about 7:30 pm officers on patrol were flagged down by female who told them she had been assaulted by her husband of several months. She said that an argument escalated into a physical confrontation over a cell phone charger. The woman exhibited no injuries and she required no medical treatment on scene. The officers were familiar with the couples’ prior history of domestic related matters. The woman was once again advised to seek charges against her husband through the Hyattsville District Court Commissioner.
August 25 th : 3300 block of Chauncey Place : Vehicle impound – 12:45pm. Officers patrolling with a mobile license plate reader received a notification that the tags on a Mazda were suspended. However, the tags were displayed on a 2003 Dodge Durango. The Dodge was unregistered so it was impounded and the tags were seized for return to MVA. 4000 block of 34 th Street : Trespassing – 2:05pm. Officers responded for the report of a disorderly subject at ZZ Pizza. When the officers arrived they detained the highly intoxicated subject and learned that he had entered the restaurant and demanded food. They also learned that the owners had previously banned him from the restaurant. He was arrested, charged with trespassing and delivered to the custody of DOC in Upper Marlboro. 3200 block of Queenstown Drive : Traffic/vehicle impound – 9:50pm.
