Police Report: November 5

2900 block of Shepherd Street: At about 7:30 am officers responded to the report of a purse snatch. The victim told the officers that she was walking towards a bus stop when she saw a burgundy Lexus circle around her twice. She next observed a dark skin black male, approximately 30-39 years of age, 6’1” tall, 180 lbs., wearing black jeans and a black hat come up to her right side. The suspect snatched victim’s purse, ran away and got into the burgundy Lexus and fled the area. The suspect and the suspect’s vehicle described by the victim match the description of the suspect and stolen vehicle involved in the carjacking/abduction case reported Sunday November 2nd.

Carjacked vehicle: Maroon 2005 Lexus 330 with Maryland tags 8DSD99.
Suspect: Black male, 17-25 years of age, 6'3" tall, 180 lbs., short black hair, black North Face coat, silver revolver style handgun.

3300 block of Chauncey Place: At about 9:30 am officers responded to a home invasion robbery. The victim told the officers that two black males forced their way into her apartment through the locked front door. Once inside the two announced themselves as “POLICE, FBI.” Suspect #1 detained the victim in the bedroom at gun point while Suspect #2 ransacked the house while yelling at victim “Where is the money”. Suspect #2 took a gold ring and two watches after which both fled the scene on foot. PGPD CID was notified and responded to process the scene and assume a follow-up investigation.

Suspect #1 is described as a dark skin black male, 30-39 years of age, 5’9”, 180 lbs., wearing a police-style blue wind breaker.

Eastern Avenue @ Rhode Island Avenue: At about 9:30 am officers responded for the report of a motor vehicle collision involving a City vehicle. The Code Enforcement vehicle was struck by another vehicle in the intersection. Preliminary investigation suggests that the City vehicle was not at fault in the collision. MPD is handling the investigation. No injuries were reported and the City vehicle was towed to Public Works.

Police Report: May 8-11

Friday May 8th : 3400 block of 11 Newton Street : At about 2 pm officers responded for the report of a woman who had been assaulted by her boyfriend. The boyfriend allegedly punched the woman in the mouth and choked her. She told the officers that she did not want any police assistance and refused to tell the officers what had occurred. She was referred to the District Court Commissioner if she decided to press charges at a later time. Saturday May 9th : Nothing significant to report. Sunday May 10th : 4500 block of Eastern Avenue (BP station) : At about 11 am officers responded for the report of a stolen auto. The officers met with the victim/owner who told them that he left the keys to his 2002 Lincoln on the front seat when he went inside to pay for gas. When he came out of the store he saw his Lincoln being driven up Eastern Avenue towards Rhode Island Avenue by a black male (no further description). A check of the area for the stolen car proved negative and a lookout for it was gi
