Police Report: August 18

August 18th:

3400 block of Rhode Island Avenue: At about 11:15 am officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Their investigation revealed that the driver had a suspended Maryland license. He was issued the appropriate state traffic citations and his vehicle was impounded for safekeeping.

2800 block of Taylor Street: At about 11:15 am officers responded for the report of a vandalism to auto. The victim/owner showed the officers where someone had flattened the tires on both his Kawasaki motorcycle and his Pontiac Grand-AM. He also told them that he believes that his ex-wife is the one who committed the vandalism since he had recently had her served with a protective order. He did not however see her commit the crime. A check of the area for the ex-wife proved negative and there were no witnesses to the crime.

4600 block of 25th Street: At about 1:40 pm officers took a report of a vandalism to auto. The officers met with the victim/owner of a 2005 Ford Explorer who told them that someone had flattened one of his tires. The victim also said that he believes that his son’s girlfriend is the one responsible for the vandalism due to several recent arguments between the two. There were no witnesses to the incident and no evidence that would link anyone to the crime.
