During the day officers investigated five thefts/attempted thefts from parked motor vehicles. All of the thefts/break-ins were discovered between 7:45 am and 9:30 am. In all but one of the thefts officers were unable to determine how the thieves got into the target vehicles but we are surmising that a slim-jim or pry-type tool was used. Each of the victims/owners told the officers that they were positive that they had locked and secured their vehicles. All of the target vehicles were processed for evidence with negative results and no witnesses or other evidence could be found.
