Police Report: March 10

3500 block of Perry Street: At about 9:45 pm officers responded for the report of an Hispanic-looking man carrying a shotgun. The officers thoroughly canvassed the area for the individual but could not locate anyone matching the limited description given by the complainant, and no one was seen in carrying any weapon in the area.

4000 block of 34th Street: At about midnight officers were dispatched to investigate an alarm off. The officers checked the establishment in question, found it to be secure and cleared the call as a false alarm.

3700 block of Shepherd Street: At about 9:30 am officers responded for the report of a possible stolen vehicle. When the officers arrived they discovered a red Honda Civic with a damaged ignition and no wheels or tires. An initial NCIC check showed that it had not been reported stolen. The officers were able to locate a phone number for the owner who confirmed that the vehicle should have been parked outside his residence in Glen Burnie and not in Mount Rainier. The owner was instructed to report his vehicle stolen to the Anne Arundel County PD. The vehicle was impounded for safekeeping and the owner was advised where to retrieve it.

3300 block of Chillum Road: At about 4:00 pm officers assigned to the power shift were patrolling the Queenstown Apartments and observed a suspicious white Jeep Cherokee with DC tags. A registration/wanted check of the license plate was conducted and the officers discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Prince George’s County. The vehicle was recovered and returned to the owner in good condition.
