Police Report: June 15-16

Monday June 15:

4300 block of 31st Street: At about 3 pm officers took a report of an attempted vehicle theft. The victim/owner told the officers that person(s) unknown damaged the ignition on his 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 P/U truck. He said that he believed that he had left the truck unlocked when he parked it by his residence. The officers verified that there was no forced entry into the vehicle.

2900 block of Arundel Road: At about 4:20 pm officers took a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim told the officers that sometime prior to his call to the police person(s) unknown stole his burgundy colored 2005 Dodge Durango with Maryland tags 13463M1. A canvass of the area for evidence/witnesses was negative.

3700 block of 35th Street: At about 8:15 pm an MRPD officer suffered a dog bite while handling a call for service. The officer was bitten on his right triceps when the dog jumped over a fence and attacked him. The owner of the dog was not present at the time of the incident, but the officer was able to obtain information on the dog and its record of shots from the owner’s daughter. The officer did not require medical treatment as a result of the bite.

Tuesday June 16th (early morning):

4300 block of Russell Avenue: At about 1:50 am officers responded for the report of a citizen robbery. The victim told the officers that he was approached from behind by three black males. He said that a metal object was placed to the back of his head and he was ordered to lie on the ground. The suspects then stole his keys, wallet and gym bag. The victim said that he did not look at the suspects for fear of his safety. A canvass of the area for the suspects and possible witnesses provided negative. PGPD detectives were notified and will conduct a follow-up investigation.

Police Report: May 8-11

Friday May 8th : 3400 block of 11 Newton Street : At about 2 pm officers responded for the report of a woman who had been assaulted by her boyfriend. The boyfriend allegedly punched the woman in the mouth and choked her. She told the officers that she did not want any police assistance and refused to tell the officers what had occurred. She was referred to the District Court Commissioner if she decided to press charges at a later time. Saturday May 9th : Nothing significant to report. Sunday May 10th : 4500 block of Eastern Avenue (BP station) : At about 11 am officers responded for the report of a stolen auto. The officers met with the victim/owner who told them that he left the keys to his 2002 Lincoln on the front seat when he went inside to pay for gas. When he came out of the store he saw his Lincoln being driven up Eastern Avenue towards Rhode Island Avenue by a black male (no further description). A check of the area for the stolen car proved negative and a lookout for it was gi
