Tuesday June 16:
Chillum Road at Queens Chapel Road: At about 1:50 pm officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The vehicle was found to have a suspended registration with an MVA pick-up order for the tags. The tags were seized pursuant to the pick-up order, the vehicle was impounded, and the driver was issued the appropriate Maryland state citations.
One Municipal Place: At about 5:20 pm power shift officers stopped a vehicle because the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver’s vehicle was found to have a suspended registration with an MVA pick-up order on the tags. The tags were seized pursuant to the pick-up order, the vehicle was impounded, and the driver was issued the appropriate Maryland state citations.
3300 block of Rhode Island Avenue: At about 10:30 pm officers on patrol apprehended an individual who had stolen two one-liter bottles of Vodka from Party Time Liquors. The individual was charged with misdemeanor theft via a criminal citation and released without incident.
Wednesday June 17th (early morning):
4100 block of 33rd Street: At about 12:05 am officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver had an open warrant through the Prince George's County Sheriff's Office for failure to appear in court. He was arrested on the warrant and delivered to the custody of DOC in Hyattsville.
