Police Report: June 17

4600 block of 27th Street: At about 4:15 pm officers responded to a complaint of a man rolling around in the grass acting erratically. The officers located the man in question and determined that he was under the influence of suspected PCP. He was taken into custody and transported to the hospital to be evaluated by medical personnel.

Russell Avenue & 28th Place: At about 10:15 pm officers on patrol observed a man urinating in public. He was issued a criminal citation for the violation.

4000 block of 31st Street: At about 11:30 pm officers took a report of a stolen auto. The victim/owner told the officers that sometime between 9 pm on June 16th and 9 am on June 17th someone stole her gray 2001 Chevrolet Prism (Maryland tags 9DND67). The officers were unable to locate any evidence or witnesses to the theft.

3300 block of Chillum Road: At about 11:40 pm officers on patrol observed a man consuming an alcoholic beverage in public. He was issued a criminal citation for the violation.

3200 block of Rhode Island Avenue: At about 11:55 pm officers on patrol observed a woman urinating in public. She was issued a criminal citation for the violation.

September 4 th : 2500 block of Queens Chapel Road : Emergency petition – 4:50 am. Officers on patrol observed a highly intoxicated man walking through on-coming traffic carrying two 14” long kitchen knives. When the officers stopped the man and ordered him to drop the knives he refused and said that he wanted to die and was going to kill himself. The officers also observed that the man was bleeding from his mouth and had blood on the back of his shirt. A member of the man’s family arrived on the scene and convinced the man to drop the knives and, after a brief struggle officers were able to get him under control. Fire/rescue personnel arrived to transport the man to the hospital and during their on-scene evaluation officers observed that he had a large amount of shattered glass in his hair and on his face along with several long cut/scratch markings on his back just above his waist line. Police Report: May 8-11

Friday May 8th : 3400 block of 11 Newton Street : At about 2 pm officers responded for the report of a woman who had been assaulted by her boyfriend. The boyfriend allegedly punched the woman in the mouth and choked her. She told the officers that she did not want any police assistance and refused to tell the officers what had occurred. She was referred to the District Court Commissioner if she decided to press charges at a later time. Saturday May 9th : Nothing significant to report. Sunday May 10th : 4500 block of Eastern Avenue (BP station) : At about 11 am officers responded for the report of a stolen auto. The officers met with the victim/owner who told them that he left the keys to his 2002 Lincoln on the front seat when he went inside to pay for gas. When he came out of the store he saw his Lincoln being driven up Eastern Avenue towards Rhode Island Avenue by a black male (no further description).
