Friday December 5:
4300 block of 28th Place: At about 8:30 pm officers responded for the report of a citizen armed robbery. The victim told the officers that he was unloading groceries from his vehicle when he was approached by two black males in all dark clothing one of whom was armed with a black handgun. The suspects ordered the victim to turn around and when he did so, one suspect went through his pockets and took several items of personal property. The two suspects then fled the area towards DC in white sedan.
Saturday December 6:
3400 block of Rhode Island Avenue: At about 8:30 am officers on patrol observed a man consuming an alcoholic beverage in a public place. He was stopped, checked for outstanding warrants (none), issued a criminal citation for the violation and sent on his way.
One Municipal Place: At about 9:30 am officers on patrol observed a woman urinating in public. She was stopped, checked for outstanding warrants (none), issued a criminal citation for the violation and sent on her way.
Monday December 8:
4600 block of 27th Street: At about 1:30 am officers responded for the report of the sound of shots and the possibility of a man down. When the officers arrived they searched the area and were able to located and recover several spent shell casings. They did not find anyone down or injured, nor could they locate any witnesses or those responsible for firing the shots.
