Police Report: January 2nd

January 2nd:

3100 block of Queens Chapel Road: Stolen auto - 12:05 am. A delivery person parked his 2007 Toyota Corolla (MD tags 3CLT89) in front of Joe’s Carryout and left the keys on the front seat while he went into the restaurant. A few moments later a black male described as in his 30’s got into the vehicle and drove off with it down Chillum Road.

2700 block of Webster Street: Loud music/disorderly – 3 am. While officers were attempting to speak with a resident tenant about a loud music complaint one of the tenant’s guests who was highly intoxicated pushed one of the officers. She then began to curse, yell and scream causing a large disturbance. She was arrested, charged with assault on a police officer and disorderly conduct and delivered to the custody of DOC in Upper Marlboro.

4100 block of 30th Street: Residential burglary/sexual assault - 4:25 am. The victim told the officers that she was awakened by a downstairs noise got up to investigate. She was confronted by a black male who had broken into her home through a kitchen window and was gathering items to steal. The man then sexually assaulted the victim and fled the residence with several of her personal items. The victim described her assailant as a black male with short hair about 20 years of age, 5’10” 160 lbs wearing a black sweatshirt that zipped up the front. From the description the victim gave the officers they believed it matched with a repeat offender in the neighborhood. PGPD detectives from District I responded to the scene to take over the follow-up investigation. MRPD officers gave the detectives their suspect information and detectives prepared a photo line-up for review by the victim. She immediately identified her assailant as the one MRPD officers had suggested to the detectives. An arrest warrant was obtained and an extensive search for the suspect began. After about 48 hours, he was located at an address in Capitol Heights and arrested by members of PGPD’s repeat offender squad. He is currently incarcerated in DOC under no bond.

2900 block of Allison Street: Recovered stolen auto - 7:15 pm. Officers responded for the report of an abandoned vehicle in the roadway. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle, a 2003 Jeep Liberty, had been previously reported stolen from an address in Prince George’s County earlier in the day. The vehicle was impounded for safekeeping.

3000 block of Arundel Road: Domestic assault – 4 am. A female victim told the officers that she had been assaulted by her former boyfriend during an argument. The victim bore no immediate signs of physical injury; however the officers transported to the District Court Commissioner’s office where she obtained an arrest warrant for the boyfriend for assault and an interim order of protection. The officers returned to the residence and arrested the boyfriend on the warrant and served him with the order of protection.

These kiosks can contain concealed computers that attempt to extract data such as contact information, photos, and videos from connected devices, unbeknownst to the users. Police Report: May 8-11

Friday May 8th : 3400 block of 11 Newton Street : At about 2 pm officers responded for the report of a woman who had been assaulted by her boyfriend. The boyfriend allegedly punched the woman in the mouth and choked her. She told the officers that she did not want any police assistance and refused to tell the officers what had occurred. She was referred to the District Court Commissioner if she decided to press charges at a later time. Saturday May 9th : Nothing significant to report. Sunday May 10th : 4500 block of Eastern Avenue (BP station) : At about 11 am officers responded for the report of a stolen auto. The officers met with the victim/owner who told them that he left the keys to his 2002 Lincoln on the front seat when he went inside to pay for gas. When he came out of the store he saw his Lincoln being driven up Eastern Avenue towards Rhode Island Avenue by a black male (no further description). A check of the area for the stolen car proved negative and a lookout for it was gi
